Central Missouri Agriculture Club

To Support, Promote, and Recruit Agriculture and Youth in Central Missouri

 

Mission Statement

The Central Missouri Agriculture Club is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to support, promote, and recruit youth in agriculture in central Missouri.

In 2022, the Central Missouri Ag Club awarded 10 scholarships totaling $18,000 to area students and provided over $7,000.00 in financial assistance to the local 4-H/ /FFA Livestock Show, 4-H/FFA Dog Show, 4-H/FFA Horse Show, 4-H Achievement Days, robotics program, as well as sponsoring a farm youth tour for area students to experience at a glance the past in farming techniques. The proceeds are funded from the two annual fundraisers - the Agriculture Banquet and Pie Auction and the Central Missouri Ag Expo. The Central Missouri Ag Club also sponsors a farm family of the year award. Since the Club was formed in June of 2009, it has awarded over $249,635 in scholarships, $18,197 for the Ag Tours and over $69,800 in financial assistance to area youth, and 4-H/FFA activities.

The Central Missouri Agriculture Club provides scholarships in conjunction with Agriculture Future of America (AFA) to graduating high school seniors who plan on pursuing a four-year degree in an agriculture related field of study. This scholarship supports college tuition and fees in the amount of $3,200 and includes sponsorship to the AFA Leaders Conference (a $1,000 value) during the fall of your freshman year of college. The AFA Leaders Conference focuses on personal and professional development and is held annually in Kansas City, Missouri. The Club also provides scholarships to students who plan to purse an agriculture related field of study at either a community college or four year college/university.

The Central Missouri Agriculture Club consists of Pettis County area business leaders and individuals.
